Since 2006, the annual 2+2 Scholarship Golf Tournament has raised funds to support DeSoto County students who attend NWCC and UM in Southaven.

Since 2006, the annual 2+2 Scholarship Golf Tournament has raised funds to support DeSoto County students who attend NWCC and UM in Southaven.
More than $1 million has been raised for the 2+2 Scholarship Initiative, of which almost $200,000 has been generated by this tournament. With 25% of the $1 million going to the Northwest Foundation and 75% going to the Ole Miss Foundation since 2006. Northwest has awarded 86 scholarships for a total of $76,000, all to DeSoto County students. The University of Mississippi - DeSoto has also awarded 70 scholarships for a total of $100,000, again all to DeSoto County students
